Amore Pacific and Sephora cooperate to launch the Lange brand in the European market
[Direct Report Network Beijing April 12th] (Union Network) April 9th, South Korea's well-known cosmetics company Amore Pacific announced that through its partner Sephora, in Europe including Russia, Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany More than 800 Sephora chain stores in 18 markets sell their Lange brand.
 
Previously, Amore Pacific's European operations included the luxury perfume brand Guter Paris, which was acquired in 2011, and the launch of the luxury skincare brand Snow Show in Galeries Lafayette in Paris in 2017.
 
Thierry MAMAN, General Manager of Amore Pacific Europe, said: "Through this cooperation, we hope to share Lange's trusted Asian brand for European customers and provide healthy, skin-friendly, fast and effective hydration methods for customers."
 
It is reported that Lange was born in 1994, is the second-line skin care brand under Amore Pacific, divided into two series of men and women. As one of the main brands of Amore Pacific, Lange was launched in the market outside Korea in 2002 and soon entered the Asian, North American and Oceania markets.
 
According to the data, Amore Pacific was established in 1945. It is one of the three major cosmetics groups in Korea. Its subsidiaries are divided into dozens of industries, not only have their own R&D centers, but also overseas branches spanning the globe, with more than 40 international marketing networks. The country produces more than 4,000 cosmetic items, targeting urban women aged 25-35.
 
Amore Pacific is listed on the Korean capital market with Amore Pacific Group and Amore Pacific. Amore Pacific is responsible for operating the beauty panel, while APG, Pacific Glass, Pacific Packaging, OSulloc Farm and other non-beauty panels and beauty panels are co-ordinated by Amore Pacific Group.

The latest 2018 results of Amore Pacific Group and the company show that the Group's sales increased slightly by 0.8% year-on-year to 6.08 trillion won (approximately RMB 36.643 billion), and operating profit decreased by 24.9% year-on-year to 549.5 billion. The South Korean won (approximately RMB 3.313 billion), net profit fell by 23.1% year-on-year to only 376.3 billion won (about RMB 2.269 billion).

The company's financial report for the cosmetics sector showed that the company's sales reached 5.2778 trillion won (about 31.818 billion yuan) during the period, up 3% year-on-year, but operating profit recorded 482 billion won (about 2.906 billion yuan). The year-on-year decrease was 19.2%, and the net profit was 334.8 billion won (about RMB 2.018 billion), down 15.9% year-on-year.
 
The performance of high-end brands and mass-market brands in the beauty sector is polarized.
 
The high-end brands represented by Snow Show, Amore Pacific and Lange achieved sales of 1.83 trillion won (about RMB 11.024 billion) last year, up 3.6% year-on-year; Yue Shi Feng and Yi Di House formed Volkswagen brand sales of only 785.9 billion won. (Approximately RMB 4.738 billion), a sharp decline of 11.3% compared with the same period of last year. Including Lu, daily beauty and clean brand sales fell slightly by 0.8% to 512.8 billion won (about RMB 3.091 billion).
 
It is reported that this year, Aigui Pacific Group's business goal is to achieve a 10% year-on-year increase in sales and a 24% year-on-year increase in operating profit. To this end, the Group has proposed six major initiatives, including the development of innovative products, the expansion of brand portfolios, and the quality of customer experience based on the OMNI channel.
 
Gao Xiangqin, president of Amore Pacific China, said in an interview that China has now become the world's second largest cosmetics market and the largest overseas sales market for Amore Pacific Group. The future of China's economy can be expected, because China's demographic dividend is there, there are 400 million people born in the millennium, and 400 million in the middle class in a year or two. The consumption power is there. Therefore, we will increase investment in the Chinese market in the future.
 
According to reports, a person familiar with the matter said that in 2019, Amore Pacific will actively open stores in China, with the representative brands of Snow Show and Yue Shi style as the target, to reduce costs and expand investment by actively opening stores and brand new decoration. The person familiar with the situation predicted that this year, Amore Pacific will add 40 Snow Show counters and 67 Yue Shi style single-brand stores in China, the latter mainly entering China's third- and fourth-tier cities. Last year, the group opened 24 snow show counters and 57 Yue Shi style single-brand stores in China.
 
In addition, the Group will continue to expand its overseas market, and plans to enter the world's 50 countries with the five international brands Snow Show, Lange, Dream Makeup, Yidi House and Yueshi Style.
